First letter selection using keyboard in dropdown lists

I just created an issue in github for this, because I’ve searched here and on github but didn’t find anything. Maybe I missed it?

Please describe.** Selecting ite…ms in a dropdown list is difficult because it only works with the mouse or keyboard navigation/arrow keys. **Describe the solution you'd like** When I select items in a dropdown list I would like to be able to navigate the list using the keyboard, by pressing the first character or letter of the item I want to select. **Describe alternatives you've considered** None **Additional context** Dropdowns like Security or Account would really benefit from quickly moving the list by using the keyboard more efficiently.

Basically I want to move through dropdown lists using the first letter of the item, like for securities or accounts. As it is, for me, I need to use the mouse or the keyboard navigation arrow keys.
