Hi, I would like to contribute to the project by providing a patch but don’t know which release of Eclipse I’m meant to be using. Can anyone help? Nothing is said about this in the Contributing to Portfolio Performance doc and I’m guessing far‑ahead releases (like a 2026 milestone) should be avoided.
2026-6 R works:
PP is not always updating to the latest Eclipse version itself. But you can always use the latest Eclipse IDE to build products using earlier versions. So use the latest IDE. The target platform determines against which Eclipse version PP is built.
Many thanks guys.
The GitHub blog signed posted by @Veterini is what I needed to see, not only in respect of using Eclipse 2026 06 - which as of now is the most recent version - but also in terms of the possibility of using Maven profile local-dev as the target platform
