Add custom quote provider

I made a small website to host some of Thai fund NAVs for my own purpose. Is there a way to add a custom JSON quote feed provider (similar to Bookmark URLs) to the select menu? I don’t want to copy the URL every time I add for a new fund.

I don’t want to add this as an option for everyone yet, because I only have funds I invested and ignore the rest for now. So I just want this option only for my machine.

Clarification: I know I can select JSON, and I’ve been doing that. I just don’t want to do that every time. I just want to select my website option (which I want to add) so I don’t have to enter path to date & value every time, and get the magic similar to Bookmark URLs.

Did you see the last entry called JSON…

It’s clearly obvious, but that’s not my point…

My point is to add another drop down option. I can click JSON and every time I have to add the JSON path to date and value which is not convenient.

That’s why I ask for a feature similar to adding custom Bookmark URLs like this

I agree that this would be a very useful feature. Especially if we also get the ability to provide API keys.

If there is an API Key, it will most like be more or less “public” available.

For those beeing worth implemented we do have some examples:

Feel free to propose new API’s.

Cheers

In my case it would be eTrade to get quotes for ESPP/RSUs held.

Instead of creating more and more providers it would be nice if we could just add a “named” generic JSON provider that is reusable across securities.

I have a securities account with ING (Germany) and to get current quotes I can use this configuration:

Since I have many securities with ING I’d much rather just configure this once and then select “ING” as a data provider instead.
