You shall TEST it! Not more not less!
Hi @grillparzer, The example I cited yesterday featured âWKNâ so as to relate to an individual security, but âISINâ could be used instead. Have you tested your url in a web browser? If it doesnât work there, it wonât in PP.
Hi Sn1kk3r5 - Yes, if I go to Settings â Bookmarks, add a new bookmark with an URL âfile://etc/hostsâ, go to âAll Securitiesâ, choose a random one from there, press right mouse, choose my bookmark => it indeed opens the hosts-file like expeced. No problem there.
Hi also Rich28 - I have misunderstood the bookmarks-feature in PP. Because it is listed in âAttributes-securitiesâ, I assumed it is possible to add it into a security master record (just like Logo, Limit, etc.) with a custom, fixed URL, not containing symbolic links like {WKN} or {ISIN}. It seems that it is possible to add there, but the link doesnât work from there.
My way of doing security research is that it is seldom for âone company onlyâ - I might examine for example a group of Chinese GPU companies together, and I would like to point them all to this file on my drive. The bookmarks-feature of PP seems to be focused to the idea of âone security only at a timeâ (which is the way web works). My research gets too complex to manage like this - individual non-parametrized hyperlinks I could easily copy to the right Security Master Records in PP.
The problem is described here: AusfĂźhren von Programmen bei Doppelklick auf ein Konto/Depot - #8 by OkiDoki
Maybe someone can include the file protocol in the pattern?
