Hi there - so for example if I have 5 security accounts (1 for each member of my family (with multiple assets in each account) - and I want to see a report that shows the 6 month return on each security account is that possible with the report e.g Security Account 1 - 6 month return Security Account 2 - 6 month return etc…
Absolute Performance on Trustnet measures the total growth or loss of a fund based on an assumption that all dividend distributions are immediately reinvested back into it.
PP features Absolute Performance metrics (both in monetary and % terms) as well, which as you’ve already established, can be included in the statement of assets. If these aren’t visible right-click on the ‘cog’ located on the top right-hand side of the table; then select 'Performance ’ from the drop down list; from this select either ‘Absolute Performance’ or ‘Absolute Performance %’; and finally whatever time period you would like to add - for example, ‘1 year’, ‘1 month’ etc.
This though, is ultimately based on a ‘user-centric’ view of Absolute Performance, which differs from Trustnet’s ‘fund centric’ approach. That’s to say the ‘initial valuation’ used in PPs calculation is based on the book cost, when you personally parted with cash for that initial investment in an instrument. In addition, its calculation reflects any fees and/or taxes you personally may have incurred for taking this position, as well as any dividends you may have benefited from.
