I noticed the quotes seen in Portfolio Performance for each stock seem to be the quotes “at close” and the latest prices aren’t shown - for example, the overnight trading values. These overnight trading values are shown on Yahoo Finance and in IBKR.
This is pretty essential to me as (due to my timezone) I usually trade at night in overnight trading, so Portfolio Performance becomes almost unuseable as its data is effectively inaccurate. Any way to fix this or any data providers within PP that will provide this? Thanks!
First of all PP isn’t a directly for trading informations, I think there are better options on the market. PP is developed for the performance analytics afterwards.
But in general, there is just one built in source for market data and that is just delivering closing informations once a day. If you find (and maybe pay for) a suitable source for you, you could configure whatever you want. Here are some ideas (also usable for actual prices if the have the information).
So it would be great if I could also use PP to see these figures in realtime.
Looks like the link you shared is for historical prices so I’m not sure how I’d wire up “live” overnight prices etc - if you or anyone have any tips that would be great, I think I’d be open to paying for it
Ah sorry I thought there are also the paid ones included. There are some apis, have a look into the settings off PP, there you find the included ones like finhub. But be aware, they are not cheap!
And again it still will be hard, because PP isn’t made for that, you will create a high request rate if you use it for realtime.
