Comissions and "profit charts"

Hi all,

Its been a few months since we happily moved to PP to track the performance of all our assets, including real state. Aaaand, probably we are doing something wrong regarding the “simulation of real state investments”…

  • We created 1 security for each house
  • We created a values account for that security, and associated it with a cash account.
  • Then we insert:
    • payments as dividents of the security
    • taxes as taxes of the security
    • expenses as “comissions” in the cash account.

In the “payments” report we can see the total outcome per year using the “SUM” view, it takes dividends and substracts taxes and comissions –> total = net profit.

So far, everything works WONDERFULLY GREAT!!

Now, the issue we have. When we try to show the net profits in charts, the “net” value is only taking into account taxes and interests. Comissions seem to be out of the equation.

This is also true for all “profit” views. You can choose “gross/net” in the options, but comissions are not considered. The information is there, because the chart “monthly comissions” shows the info correctly

So…. Would it be possible to add a suboption to these charts, at the submenu where you can choose “gross/net” or at the submenu where you can choose “dividends/dividends + interests/interests”, something like “net - comissions”?

For the “derived data series”, that information would also be usefull I think…

Thank you for this wonderfull software. I helped with the “catalan translation” and many acquitances from my area are using it now  Is THE BEST!!!

Regards,

Jordi.
