Database or repo with shared XML portfolio files?

Anyone know of repository where I can download a Performance Portfolio XML file that is all set with common stock groupings like all S&P500 stocks?

I have a personal portfolio with a dozen positions that contains my confidential transaction data but then I also have a research portfolio without any transaction data that I use just to have quick access to latest quotes on a many positions and I divide this one up by market sector so I can compare my portfolio to competing options quickly.

But I was thinking, “It’s easy to share these generic, research XML files with others that just contain stock groupings. Maybe there is a central repo maintained with this stuff for everyone to quickly have access?”

It just takes time to set up these research portfolios manually. Having the proper ISINs and categories in advance is helpful!

Something like this does not exist to my knowledge. Sometimes people do share their playground XML, but nothing serious nor centralized.

PS. I can’t recommend having 500 Stocks inside of PP simply as it’s not build for this and other tools can do stuff like this better.

Understood. Yeah, I have one right now with 100 unique stocks and was wondering how things would hold up with 500 … I was thinking that if you don’t add any transactions it might work but it’s still downloading all quotes to the XML file so it would still be a large file and maybe crash under the weight of that many positions. Just a speculation based on limitations of a file-based system.
