Exchange Rate in Mobile App using previous close of day, Desktop app using current exchange rate

It came to my attention today that the exchange rates are seemingly not stored with the .portfolio files. Is that correct?

I noticed that when opening a .portfolio file on the desktop, it has the EUR/USD exchange rate of 22/1/25 (EUR/USD @ 1.03…) in the General Data- Currencies settings (which is the closing of yesterday, as we are 23/1/25 today) but the Statement of Assets is using the latest/current exchange rate (of 23/1/25 - EUR/USD @ 1.04…). Is this by design?

The mobile app does use the closing of 22/1/25 to display the holdings, not the current exchange rate, thereby causing a difference in portfolio value between the mobile and desktop client

So, either both application use the current exchange rate, or they should both use the latest close, no ? not any other combination IMO
