Hi
I have some securities, that is managed by an insurance companies (in France it’s called assurance-vie)
For exemple i can buy some nasdaq etf, referenced in portfolio.
There is a fee of 0.5%/year taken by the insurance companies. (The reason why we do use this, is that there is tax advantages)
This is fee is deduced on the équivalent share of the nasdaq, 0.5% of the shares is taken as payment, per year.
This is calculated daily.
Is the a way to calculate this automatically, for each securities bought, on portfolio?
Thanks
Calculated automatically, no I do not think so. Each assurance vie can have their own rules, I have two which takes the fees quarterly instead of once a year. And I do not think it comes from a daily calculation for them.
However, if your assurance vie gives the detail of the number of paid shares, it is possible to book those fees to take them into account in the performance calculation.
It is described in the manual :
Thanks for the tips.
I guess it is close enough, but this won’t be the exact same price than if this will be calculated daily at 0,5%/365, and on several lines it’s already quite lenghty to do it every quarter.
This function would be useful, like you set a yearly cost taken on the share, and then choose if this is calculated daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly
Thanks,
