Firefox won't load forum

Hi there,
just a forum technical question : I noticed that I cannot browse the forum using Firefox (the welcome page is loading forever). Only Chrome seems to work. Is that a known problem ?

No. Answer written in Firefox.

I do not understand what you mean by “answer written in firefox”. I check in firefox, there is no error or blocking message available…

The meaning is: If I am able to write an answer using firefox, it must be possible to browse the forum using firefox.

He was referring to the fact, that he used Firefox to write this message…

Which OS, which Firefox edition? Did you configured a proxy? Any firewall in use with filter lists for apps?

Oh sorry @ProgFriese , your message was obvious, I’m just tired

@Jo92 : using firefox 127.0 64 bit under windows 10 fully updated. No proxy. Using basic win10 firewall (I tried to disable it but no result). I restarted Firefox in “troubleshooting mode”, without any addons → same problem.

Very weird. The site is connecting because I see the “timer animation” with colored points. But it’s just never ending…

Did you tried it in private mode?

I just did  - first it seems to work, showing the first page, but then when I click on a category (“english” for example), it starts loading forever…

Are you using firefox’s translator to automatically translate the German topics ? It gives me a never ending loading too when changing pages, so I switch it off before changing pages.

Ok, but when it works first in private mode then it isn’t a general issue. Do you have any plugins installed? Automatic translation is also a good idea.

@Jo92 well I tried both at the same time : launching firefox in troubleshot mode (no plugins), and also in private window. Same problem : I can see the first page, but clicking on a category is then loading forever. Evene “signing in” is loading forever. Of course I also cleaned the whole cache, cookies, etc…
Strange because I never have any problem with other websites / forums : etc…

Should not be a network problem either, because it works under Chrome on the same computer.

I also disable the translator which was not used anyway.

Anything that might block JavaScript? Discourse, the software used here, relies heavily on it. Do other Discourse-based sites (e.g., https://meta.discourse.org/) work?

The discourse site works perfectly. I can quickly browse into it.

Still no solution despite all my tests… Very annoying and frustating…

Did you try reinstalling FF?

only one before loading turns forever

Interesting as I do not have any problems at all to download it. Furthermore, this font is developed by Mozilla…

What happend if you copy&paste the URL to your browser and try to go to? Any errors?

@Rafa the download link works fine : the file xxx.woff2 is instantly downloaded on my drive.

In this case, check the Firefox settings or if ab Addon at your side is blocking the access.

I already tried FF in troubleshhoting mode where all plugins are disabled.
What other FF settings could I check ?
