I have a doubt, how can it be that if I choose to see my portfolio in USD, in the case of Bitcoin, seeing entry and exit price, my profit is +41$, but if I choose to see my portfolio in €, I have p
loss of -117€?
If I have gain in $, I should apply the exchange rate on that gain, then in euros I should gain about 35€, not go to -117€ don’t you think?
Do you know how this can be solved? In the rest of assets (shares) it does not happen to me, if I have profit it is profit in $ as well as in €.
No, I certainly don’t think that. Imagine that, five years ago, you bought 10000 Turkish pounds for € 1300 and then tripled this to 30000 pounds. Would you be happy about a profit of 20000 pounds, equalling € 460? Or rather unhappy, because the 30000 pounds are worth no more than € 690 today (a loss of € 610)?
That may be the case, but it is pure coincidence, depending on when you bought/sold.
