How long will the program be supported?

Hello Everybody,

First of all, thanks Andreas for this great program. I just discovered it and I couldn’t think of any better solution for this subject.

I would just like ask a question. How long you all think the program will be supported? I mean is there a backup solution to continue the development in the far future?

There isn’t an answer for it. It is open source and it will be supported as long as there is somebody who would maintain it…

I do not have a looking glass but I continue to be motivated to maintain and extend the application. And I am happy to have contributors adding code - among them @Nirus being busy. I am looking forward to grow and extend the app and the community.

Also, keep in mind that the data format is open. There are various options to export the data, for example as CSV. You have the raw XML format with all the data you ever entered. Even if you are not a programmer, I’d think that large language models such as ChatGPT can write you programs that extract data you might need in the future.

Haven’t tought about that ChatGPT can like make me a program if this won’t be supported anymore.
