Investment with a base currency other than that of the asset

Hello everyone, new user here. I wanted to know if it is possible to obtain the returns of an investment made in dollars (USD) in my local currency (CLP). I would really appreciate it if you could help me with photos.

For example, I use CLP$100,000 to buy USD$100, with that I buy Apple shares. How can I record that and see the return on investment and the change in currency values?

You need to make CLP your reporting currency. For meaningful results, you also need to add an exchange rate, since CLP is not among the currencies for which the ECB provides rates.

Move the amount from your CLP account to a USD account, then buy shares from that.
