Is this possible. Report with only selected stocks

Hello:
Not sure if this is possible, but i would like to keep track of a group of individual stocks. Is there a way of creating a view or something along that lines that one can select only specific stocks as a group vs a whole account.

That’s excellent, thank you. I was also wondering if a custom filter could be created under Reports->Holdings. All i can see is creating a custom filter by account(s), but not individual stocks?

By stocks not, just by classifications if I am remembering it right.

Too bad, would be a great plus if a user could do that

Hello, but the classification/Taxonomy should be able to do that, shouldn"t it ? You create a new Taxonomy with only your group of securities and then you have the Pie Charts giving the same kind of view as Report/holdings

Unfortunately it doesn’t give me what I am looking for. If I select the gear icon in the Taxonomy reports it doesn’t have the same columns as selecting the gear icon in the Statement of assets. Too bad one can’t filter by stocks vs accounts.

  1. Create one taxonomy folder with your stock 1, stock 2, stock 3. All the rest in unclassified.
  2. Go to Statement of Assets, select your dedicated Taxonomy.
  3. Add the columns that you want.

Sorry, doesn’t appear to work. Created a taxonomy folder as suggested, but when I go to Statement of Assets it is not here. If I try and create a new filter from the Statement of Assets it only shows accounts, no taxonomy reports.

My bad, found it. have to click the gear icon in the Statement of Assets and select if from there, much appreciated. I assume it was a filterable component.

Great ! You can also select this dedicated Taxonomy in the Performance Graph or the Statement of Assets Graphs for example.

Hmm ,looks like I spoke to soon, yes it’s available in the Statement of Assets as a Taxonomy but it doesn’t filter by the taxonomy, only shows the name of the created taxonomy as a column with the name of the taxonomy. All the other assets/stocks are included. Will include some screenshots.

If i go into the demo portfolio and edit the asset class taxonomy and remove all assets except for Nvidia, then when I go into Statement of assets and select that taxonomy all the other assets still show up as under not classified. This is fine but in also includes them in the calculations in the columns. What i really wanted was just the selected assets not all of them. Was hoping the filter would be the trick, but it only does it by accounts.

Hm yes the other are visible too, but you do have access to the total of your group of securities, and the total line at the top (and bottom) can be hidden.

But indeed for the moment the rest are visible also.

Thanks, can always export and massage the data in a spreadsheet.
