Logos not showing

Hi,

New user here and loving this app. Thank you very much to the developers.

I have a minor question please, regarding the stocks logos.
I uploaded all the logos and they are being showned in the attributes column but now showing in the right place, instead of the green square (as seen in the picture).

I use the windows 11 version and have tried a lot of picture formats and sizes.

edit: the same happens in my mackbook Pro app version.

As I said, It’s just a minor thing, but If anyone knows how to fix it, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

Hi, I`m also using Windows 11 and never experienced such an issue:

I also just tried adding a new security and added a new logo and it worked just fine.

Did you already check your PP error log?

Help → Show Error Log

Thank you for your feedback.

No errors in the log. Just one regarding DivvyDiary witch I recently configured but already this logo issue before.

Ok, then unfortunately as a PP user I don’t know what to do. Could you possibly create a new PP file, add a new security with logo there and then upload this file here as a test if the same problem also occurs in this test portfolio file? Then a PP developer might be able to help you.

As far as I know, DivvyDiary only supports Stocks and ETF securities, but this ISIN US78016FZU10 is a bond. To get rid of this error, you could remove the ISIN in this security and just add it as a comment. PP does not necessarily require the ISIN field in a security.

Amazing, creating a new file solved the issue. In the new file the logos are showing in the right place.

Now I just need to move all the information from the old file to the new.

Thank you so much for your help.

what is for you the best way to retrieve company logo btw (like right format etc for pp)
cheers

Hi @spartok

Usually I just use Google image search and pick one that can be scaled down nicely. Like for example instead of the regular “Alphabet” logo I use their “A” logo (which they also use on their website https://abc.xyz as favicon).

Preferred, I use PNG-format as large as possible (Alphabet logo is 2100 x 2100 pixel) and avoid JPG-Format. PP will reduce the file size anyway after adding to PP and I belive the better the source image file the better it will look in PP, but not sure.

Another key factor for me is to use only square logos instead of rectangular ones.

Since I don`t add new securities very often, I take some time finding suiting source image logos.

Edit: And sometimes I change the background color either to white or to black. Depending on what is looking better after uploading to PP.
