Loss of taxonomy-based analysis across reports and charts in recent versions

Over the past few weeks I have been revisiting Portfolio Performance using both older tutorials and the current documentation, trying to understand whether a specific analytical behaviour still exists in recent versions or has been intentionally changed. After carefully checking the manual and the available views, it seems this is not a configuration or usability issue, but rather a functional change compared to earlier releases. For that reason, I am opening a new thread to share this observation and ask for clarification or discussion.

In earlier versions, taxonomies could be used not only in the dedicated taxonomy view but also in other views — for example, performance charts and holdings summaries — allowing users to analyze results by category (e.g. asset class performance over time). In newer versions, this interaction appears to be missing, meaning taxonomies only function within the taxonomy view itself. This reduces the ability to conduct meaningful category-based performance analysis directly in the app.

I would very much appreciate if the developers could consider re-introducing or enhancing the integration of taxonomies into more reporting views, to allow category-based performance breakdowns and visualizations across reports and charts.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Jaifa
