I haven’t checked if this is due to some revent updates, but on some stocks (not all, curiously), the dark red squares showing dividends and their amounts on security graphs do not show anymore, and will not show either after deactivating/reactivating the "Mark/Dividend” option on the graph settings.
This only occurs in the “statement of assets” view, and not in the all securities list.
I am not aware of an explicit change in that area. But, of course, there could be bug - most likely related then to a specific set of data.
I understand for some - but not all - instruments the dividend marker are not shown in “statement of assets” (in the lower part of the window), but are shown in “all securities”.
One reason could be that you have on instrument in multiple securities accounts - and then display show only one.
To help, can you create a copy of your file, delete all other transactions but for the stock where the dividend marker are not showing, and share it with portfolio dot performance dot help at gmail dot com? Then I can have a look.
I noticed a few additionnal things, shall it help to debug :
All concerned securities are from a single brokerage account, and all of these securities have a based currency that is different from the account’s main cash deposit account, therefore the dividend is not paid on that main account (yet still registered in the app).
When I was filtering the data to submit the file to you I noticed that the dividend transactions that are missing on the graphs do not show in the “all transactions” list, despite being shown in the securities transactions list (from either views)
It looks like you have activated a “grouped account” (Actifs) as filter in the statement of asset. But that filter das not include the USD cash account on which the dividends are booked. That is the reason they do not show up in “statement of assets” but show up on “All securities”.
The way PP “thinks” is this: cash on the cash accounts is also an investment decision - to keep it as cash. You might want to book removals for the dividends so that the account stays with 0 USD. Some time in the future, I will also allow recording dividends without keeping a balance, i.e., maintaining in a cash account. But this is not trivial to retrofit into the application and I haven’t found the time yet…
I got the point and didn’t know the way PP works for that specific topic. And indeed, if I remove that filter, it comes back. Thank you very much Andreas.
But in this case, I’m sorry I deleted the other securities I have in there, but I have dividends on a security I invested with “RS JPY” and those dividend received on “RS JPY” are showing despite not being in the “Actifs” filter either.
Is it because the “RS JPY” cash account is the main deposit account of the securities account while RS USD was not?
