I am new to Portfolio Performance, but have input sufficient data to recognize it’s value. I have a problem following a business take-over of one of my stocks; this provided a cash payment and shares in the new company. Taking advice from ‘ChatGPT’ (was this wise?), I made a sale transaction for the original shares based on the money received, then tried to make a zero cost Deliver (Inbound) transaction for the new shares received. I could not set a zero cost for the shares price as he Save button remained ‘greyed out’. Consequently, I set the Total Purchase Price at £0.0001 in order to complete the transaction. I realised that this would mess-up any future performance calculations.
The problem that I now have is that the new company displays as a security with the appropriate number of shares, but no other financial information is shown. I am also unable to edit or delete this stock. Please advise as to how I should have conducted these transactions.
