Money account is not a security account

Finally entered all the data correctly and in the right place. The prices are automatically tracked and I see correct current values per effect. The graphs are also correct. In short, everything seems to me to be fine.

But… The two current accounts that I have given, give the balance that I had given as the starting balance. When entering shares, that balance does not decrease by the amount I invest. While the current accounts are still the source of the money invested. And when I sell securities, the proceeds must also be booked back to one of the accounts.

Unfortunately, nothing happens to the current accounts. In “Money Accounts” they are listed with the entered balance. Below this are “Securities” and there are the securities accounts mentioned with the invested amount and also the balance of the counterpart accounts. And so that balance of that is the same thing that is above that in the money account, which is also correct because it’s the counter accounts. But then I expect the balance to decrease and increase with the amount invested and to my surprise they are included under it in “all transactions” as if they were also securities in which I invested.

What am I doing wrong and how can I have the cash accounts settled or increased by the amounts I invest with or shares I have sold?

If you record a “sale” or “purchase”, then you also have to pick a cash account and the balance gets updated.

If you record a “inbound delivery” or “outbound delivery”, then only the shares are updated. you also do not have to pick a cash account in the dialog.

OK, thanks. So basically I’m doing something wrong. I will dive into it to try to sort it out.
Thanks again.
