Nach Update auf 0.40.1 Fehler "Unknown column layout data"

Ich bin auf die Version 0.40.1 gewechselt und auf einen neuen Fehler gestoßen.

Bei Berichte/Performance/Erträge ist oben “Erträge” vorausgewählt.
Wenn ich auf “Dividenden” oder “Zinsen” klicke (egal ob im Reiter Buchungen, Monat oder anderen), dann kommt die Fehlermeldung:

Internal Error
Ursache:

Mein System: Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon 64bit

Im Thread zu einem anderen Fehler habe ich von der Empfehlung gelesen, „Hilfe / Debug: GUI zurücksetzen“ auszuprobieren.

Gesagt, getan: Das hat auch hier geholfen. Mein o.a. Fehler ist verschwunden. :slight_smile:

Wenn Du den kompletten Stack Trace noch hast, dann würde der mich interessieren. Dann kann ich das Problem näher eingrenzen.

Sorry, was bedeutet Stack Trace?
Ist damit die Log-Datei gemeint?

Stacktraces ist die Liste der Methodenaufrufe bis zu dem Fehlerfall. Und die finden sich auch finden sich auch in der Log-Datei (und einige andere auch - muss ich mir anschauen). Danke für die Datei!

Mit der Aktualisierung auf die Version 0.82.0 (März 2026) bekomme ich auch den im Thread beschriebenen Fehler:

Die Java Version habe ich bereits von 21 auf 27 aktualisiert.

Der Fehler tritt auf unter “Vermögensaufstellung”, “Depots” und “Gruppoerte Konten”.

“Debug: GUI zurücksetzen…” brachte keinen Erfolg.

@xneo Thanks for the stack trace.

First, I think it is Linux-related. But I cannot reproduce it in my linux virtual machine.

Let’s try to narrow down the problem:

Are there other errors in the log that happen before this exception? Can you have a look at the Menu → Help → Show error log? Background: the error complains about a missing layout object which I believe should always be set a little bit earlier in the code. You can also send me the log per email to portfolio dot performance dot help at gmail dot com.

If you open the sample file, do you have the same error message? Background: I wonder if it is specific to your table/tree configuration?

Short term I have no answer - you could revert to the old release, however, it would really help to get more information.

Wie in Linux: Update aus PP vs. Update aus Repository - #21 by ProgFriese beschrieben konnte ich das mal reproduzieren. Inzwischen klappt das nicht mehr (weder mit 0.81.5 noch mit 0.82.0). Vielleicht habe ich im Vergleich zu 2021 jetzt unverschämt viel RAM.

Ich habe (unter Linux Mint 22.3, Java openjdk 21) auch eben auf die neue PP Version 0.82.0 upgedatet.

Bei mir sind dabei (noch) keine Fehler aufgetreten.

Let’S see, if we can narrow down the issue.

Opening the sample file did result in no errors… I think there is a huge likelihood the issue is based on my specific configuration or issues in the portfilio and ot table configuration…

I could now narrow down the issue…

I saved my portfolio file as xml… I found one value “width":-1“ which I changed to “width":100“ … this made the error disappear.

However, when I double-click between the column headers trying to set optimum width, the error is back. So I think there is an issue with setting optimal width automatically.

Interesting. I will check that. Maybe after the auto-size - when calling getWidth - the size is -1 and that is the way it is stored in the file. But setting the column to -1 is not possible.

I had exactly the same problem with the March update and Linux Mint. GUI reset did not work, so I checked out the XML and also found width = -1 or to be more precise:

I replaced the value by 1, saved the XML and then could open it without any problems.
