I saved my portfolio file as xml… I found one value “width":-1“ which I changed to “width":100“ … this made the error disappear.

Interesting. I will check that. Maybe after the auto-size - when calling getWidth - the size is -1 and that is the way it is stored in the file. But setting the column to -1 is not possible.
