New: Support for CoinGecko demo account
Too many coins? CoinGecko’s price download takes too long? CoinGecko offers a demo account that allows you to get “a stable 30 hits per minute.” You can now store the API key in the settings.
New: Hold down the Alt key (Option on macOS) and double-click on a cell to copy its contents to the clipboard.
Want to quickly copy the contents of a cell? Hold down the Alt key (Option on macOS) and the contents of the cell will be copied to the clipboard.
Previously, you could copy the entire row to the clipboard using Ctrl-C. But sometimes you only want a single value.
New: New column with prices in the report currency in the asset statement and securities performance.
The “Price” column shows the price in the exact currency in which the prices exist. However, sometimes you want to see the prices in your own currency—the report currency. There are now new columns for this purpose. For example, in the asset statement:
New: The trades view now shows additional columns with key figures excluding taxes and fees.
You can also choose to display the key figures in the currency of the security.
More improvements and fixes
- Improvement: The Java Virtual Machine no longer uses a hardcoded memory limit but relies on its own heuristics – typically one quarter of the physical memory.
- Improvement: The selected coloring – by category or performance – of the tree map is now saved.
- Improvement: The last size and position of some dialogs are now remembered.

New: The structures of an taxonomy can now be exported and imported via JSON.
With this version, you can export the structure of a classification – i.e. the categories and the assigned securities. And then import it again. The missing categories are added and the assignment of the securities is updated.

Improvements for the Trades widget
- Improvement: Moving average can now be selected in the Trades widget.
- Improvement: Trades widget can use the security’s currency to count positive or negative trades.
- Improvement: Internal rate of return is now calculated for short trades as well.
Improvements for the CSV Export
- Improvement: CSV export now includes taxes, fees, and quantity for accounts.
- Improvement: Transactions are exported sorted by date in the CSV export.

At the end of August, a new version is released, including contributions from @Veterini and @Nirus. Many thanks for that.
New: View for the price update status.
In the last version it was still “experimental,” now it’s active for everyone. The price update view provides a better overview to understand what is being retrieved and where. You can access it by clicking on the progress bar or via the “View” menu.
New: Configure which instruments should be updated after opening the file and periodically.
The settings now allow for more flexibility. On the one hand, you can configure whether prices should be retrieved periodically (I personally prefer to do this on demand). On the other hand, you can configure which securities prices should be retrieved for. With many securities, it may make sense to define a watchlist, for example. Securities with a current holding are always updated.
New: Menu to update only the prices of currently held securities.
In the menu as well, you can limit the price updates to securities with holdings or to a watchlist.
New: Daily performance bars in the chart now use different colors for gains and losses.
The bar chart for daily (or weekly) performance now supports two colors—depending on whether performance was positive or negative.
Improvements to import and export taxonomies
- New: Bulk import and export of classifications is supported.
- Improvement: When importing classifications, categories not present in the import can be removed.
- Improvement: When exporting classifications, the color of the root category is now also exported.
Taxonomies can be imported or exported via the menu.
The dialog also contains a new option: categories and assignments not present in the imported file can optionally be deleted.
Further improvements and bug fixes
- New: Savings plans now also support taxes for regular security purchases.
- Improvement: HTML import now ignores spaces in numbers that previously prevented parsing.
- Improvement: JSON price provider no longer fails if a price for a day is unreadable.
- Improvement: PDF imports have been updated for N26, Scalable Capital, Quirin Privatbank, KFintech, Trade Republic, and Flatex.
- Fix: Wrong exchange rate suggestions for bookings in foreign currencies are corrected.
- Fix: Corrupted bookings no longer prevent files from opening.

Added option to recursively sort taxonomies by name, value, or type.
Use the “gear” icon to sort the complete taxonomy instead of sorting a single category by using the context menu.

Added Binance USDs-M Futures as an online price feed.

Added an option to disable automatic price downloads in the “Search for suppliers of historical prices” dialog.
Bulk operation to disable the price download in the dialog to search for suppliers of historical prices". The existing historical prices remain as they are. It can make sense to deactivate the download if the instrument is not traded anymore or if you do not have any holdings anymore.

New: Risk line added to the return/volatility chart
@Lotendan added an option to display a risk line in the return/volatility chart. I find this quite useful because the X and Y axes are scaled depending on the values. This provides a simple visual way to assess the data points relative to each other.
