In the desktop app, under “Statements → Asset Balance → Charts”, would it be possible to include the option to have stacked charts?
Right now we can plot each item as a line series, but there’s no way to see them all stacked together so we can view the growth of e.g.: all our portfolios combined. We can of course create a new filter than includes all the desired items (I’m currently doing this), but then we lose the visibility of each individual item in the chart.
This option is already present in the Taxonomies section. But it would be great to have it in the Statemets section too as some assets can be part of multiple filters/accounts, which can’t be replicated with taxonomies.
I agree that stacked charts would make the Statements → Asset Balance → Charts view much more useful. Being able to see the combined balance while still retaining each portfolio as a separate layer would give a much clearer picture of how the overall position is changing over time.
The current workaround of creating a filter containing everything works for the total, but it removes the breakdown between individual accounts. That distinction matters when trying to understand which portfolios are driving changes in the overall balance. I can see why the existing stacking behavior in Taxonomies would make a good model for bringing the same option into Statements. It would be useful for anyone tracking several accounts or portfolios with overlapping filters.
I work with financial reporting through Mercer Wealth Management, and having both the aggregate view and the individual components visible at once would make this kind of analysis considerably easier.
