Residual Security Shares

Hello:
Is there a best practice to removing/adjusting securities that have a very small residual share count left. For example, and not sure why I have a security with a share count of 0.0005. I want to set this to zero, but if i go into the account and make a sell without a cash value it won’t save. I don’t want to add a cash value as it will skew the account value.

What happens if I just delete a security from the list of securities, does it not impact historical entries. Would prefer to just keep the security inactive with a zero share count.

You can edit the last sell and increase quantity of sold shares by 0.0005

You can`t delete a security with exsisting books. You would need to delete all bookings of that security first and the delete the security. Obviously this would result in loosing all performance (positive or negative) of this security, because it never existed in your portfolio.

Thank you, that appears to have done the trick, adjusting the last sell.
