Greetings,
Is it possible to add a color attribute to an Account or Filter so that it will always display in the same color for Reports like Chart or Return/Volatility? Every time I create a new report the colors revert to random, and when I do assign colors in Chart the same colors do not carry over to Return/Volatility. This feature would make the charting more predictable and intuitive.
Thank you!

I think this is a good idea.
What would be the behaviour:
- when you change this color attribute ? All graph are updated accordingly ?
- but if you select another color for the serie in a graph, this change should stay local to this graph ? Or maybe with an option to ‘apply the change globally’, as it is easier to see if you like the change directly on the chart, rather than switching from attribute-chart-attribute over and over until satisfied.
Attributes exist for Securities, Deposit Accounts and Securities Accounts, however for ‘custom Filter of accounts’ this would be more difficult.
In addition, the custom colors of color picker could be saved and remembered by the color picker.
Thanks Veterini,
Yes, that behavior exactly:
-
Accounts could be assigned a Color attribute that would be stored until changed, applied across all graphs.
-
I like your addition that when colors are edited directly in graphs, the Account attributes are not changed, to allow for temporary graph-specific color adjustments, but that an in-graph option to ‘apply change globally’ would reflect the chart’s color back to change the Account’s stored Color attribute and reflect that change in all charts.
-
Not sure how ‘Filters’ with multiple accounts have their data stored as compared to a simple Account, but it would be ideal (and consistent) to have a global Color attribute for these as well.

Though not central to the global color attribute idea, agree that having the color picker remember custom colors could be handy as well.
