Hi all, would appreciate some help with this.
I’ve transferred shares to a new broker so I’m using the security transfer transaction to reflect this move in PP. This appears to work if I look at the result in the Securities screen, or in All Transactions; there are 2 Transactions against the affected security (an inbound and outbound transfer) and in the Trades view the Securities account has changed to my new broker, but the start date of that trade remains the original date the trade was made with the previous broker.
However, if I view the same security in the Statement of Assets report, the Transaction view still shows an inbound and outbound transfer, but the Chart view shows a sale marking, and the Trades view shows a closed trade against the old Securities Account, with no ongoing trade against the new broker account.
I’m sure I must be missing something, but this doesn’t seem correct to me. Can somebody please confirm if this behaviour is correct?
