[SOLVED] Performance Calculation seems to ignore date range?

Hi all,

I am looking at Reports/Performance/Calculation and it doesn’t seem to reflect the date range I have configured.

I have a trade started before the date range, and it closed within the date range. I expected the profit from the trade to show as “Earnings” on the date the trade closed, but this does not happen.

I bought shares every few months, from 2024-09-25 to 2025-06-20 and then sold everything on 2025-07-03. My date range is set to 2025-06-30..2026-06-30 which should include the sale event, yet I see no entries at all in the “Earnings” tab.

I do see the “Fees” amount showing (which covers the cost of selling the shares) but the actual “Profit / Loss” amount doesn’t show up on the tabs “Earnings” or “Earnings by Account”.

Is there a bug in Portfolio Performance, or am I doing something wrong? Will it only show trades that exist entirely within the selected date range? Is there a way to get it to include the earnings when a trade starts before the date range but closes within the date range?

Many thanks!

Yes that’s correct.

No as PP calculates at runtime based on your settings.

Hello, it should appear, but not in the Earnings category, but in the Realized Capital Gain.
Earnings is for Dividend and Interest.

Oh of course, silly me, it does appear in Realized Capital Gains. You are right, Earnings is only for dividends, I momentarily forgot!

Sorry about that. But thank you for the quick response to set me straight!
