So I’m new and downloaded the Macos App. But the only option i get after opening the app is to open a demo portfolio or connect with one of the cloud providers. I connected dropbox and put a csv file there from Degiro but it’s greyed out. It seems like it wants a portfolio file but i have no option to create one? In the manual it says i should go to File > New > File but under file everything is greyed out and there is no way to create a new portfolio file. What am i missing? Thanks for helping out a noob.

I assume you downloaded the app from the Mac App Store. The mobile app can also run on macOS. That is the version that is in the store (should not have done that). That version cannot edit the files. The open source version - linked above - can create files (and do much more).
Ok yes Andreas that’s what i did and I will now download the ‘correct’ version. Thanks! I think it could be made a lot clearer on the website, the app or in the manual as this is the first time i hear there are several version. even if its just a pop up banner
Hello, my apologies for reopening this thread but I’m having a similar issue after installing the dmg dowloaded from the link above (Apple Silicon in my case, OS version 26.2): in my case nothing happens if I follow the File → New… → File steps. Same for the Create New File command in the ACTIONS section. The other commands (link to forum, manual, Open the Kommer sample file, etc… seems to work. Thank you in advance for your help!
