Update of quotes via the built-in provider fails (tolken error)

Hi,

I have an issue with the Portfolio Performance ID on Windows. The login in the browser works, but PP on the desktop does not seem to store/read the token, so prices from the built-in provider are not updated.

Environment

  • Portfolio Performance: 0.81.5 (February 2026)

  • Platform: Windows 10/11, win32, x86_64

  • Java: 21.0.5+11-LTS, Azul Systems, Inc

  • Workspace: C:\Users\bmrobertt\AppData\Local\PortfolioPerformance\workspace

Problem description

  1. I open PP on Windows and go to Settings/Preferences > Portfolio Performance (built-in).

  2. I click on “Sign in” and the browser opens the login page.

  3. I enter my e‑mail and password, and the web page confirms that the login was successful.

  4. When I go back to PP, my e‑mail does not appear in the Preferences under “Portfolio Performance (built-in)”.

  5. In the log (C:\Users\bmrobertt\AppData\Local\PortfolioPerformance\workspace\.metadata\.log) I see messages like:

    • “no se pudo autenticar, no se pudo pedir el token de acceso”

    • and update of quotes via the built-in provider fails.

Important: I use the same .portfolio file in the Android app, and on Android the built‑in provider/Portfolio Performance ID works fine and quotes update without any error. So it does not seem to be an issue with the file itself or the instruments.

What I have already tried

  • Reset workspace several times:

    • Closed PP, renamed C:\Users\bmrobertt\AppData\Local\PortfolioPerformance\workspace to workspace_OLD.

    • Restarted PP (new workspace was created), opened my .portfolio file from my usual folder, and tried to log in again.

    • Same behaviour: login OK in browser, but e‑mail does not appear in Preferences, and token error still in the log.

  • Tried a new custom workspace using -data "D:\PP_workspace_test" and repeated the full login process.

    • Same result: no e‑mail shown, token error in log, no quotes from built‑in provider.
  • Network: I can access other PP resources; the 404 for https://updates.portfolio-performance.info/portfolio/content.xml also appears in the browser, so I assume that is a server-side issue and unrelated.

I can provide the full .log file if needed.

Thank you!

Maybe related, maybe not. I can’t actually get PP built-in quotes working on Android. It requires sign-in but the login page hangs after completing email and password or one time code. If you try later you get a black screen until you delete cookies. But also if you retry the page hangs and you can’t log in.

Hope this is useful
