Weekly/Monthly aggregation for the "Statement of Assets" Chart

Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you for developing such a powerful software. I am a macOS user and I would like to suggest a usability improvement regarding the main portfolio valuation graph.

Currently, under Reports → Statement of Assets → Chart, the portfolio value (in absolute currency, e.g. EUR) is calculated and plotted strictly on a daily basis. Because of daily market volatility, this creates a pronounced “sawtooth” pattern that makes it difficult to visually track the overall long-term trend of total assets.

While the Reports → Performance → Chart section allows for weekly or monthly aggregation, it only measures performance in percentages (%), rather than absolute portfolio value in currency.

My request: Would it be possible to add an Aggregation (Daily / Weekly / Monthly) option directly to the Statement of Assets → Chart?

Allowing users to aggregate asset value by week or month (e.g., plotting end-of-week data points) would eliminate daily market noise while preserving the absolute currency valuation view.

Thank you very much for your time and continuous work on Portfolio Performance!

The SoA Chart you might see at the bottom page is a quote chart based on the selection above.
The SoA Ui has a function call time machine, which let you choose any day in time from today only.
So there is no time frame possible rather than a single day.

Taxonomy does what you like to see.

You can aggregate securities, so they can act as one or individually.
