I live in France and depending on the bank account we use for stocks, crypto, etc. different taxes apply on capital gains.
I have for example an account (CTO) where capital gains are taxed by 30% whereas on another account where I can only by European stocks, capital gains are “only” taxed by 17%.
To get get the clearest view on my assets, I thought it could be interesting to be able to define a tax rate on Securities account (ex : 30%) and display the net and gross worth based on this rate.
I don’t know how it works on other less taxed countries .
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I understand Portfolio performance can’t guess tax rates but the user can specify the rate as a characteristic of the account.
What do you mean by “If taxes are posted” ?
I’m maybe wrong, but in Portfolio Performance I only know I can specify I paid xxx€ as tax at dd/mm/yyyy, it’s reactive and not proactive.
The aim of my point is to get the net view by apply the tax rate to capital gains.
